Saturday Sessions: Figure Drawing

Service Description

Saturday Sessions are a monthly way for teens who enjoy art to get a taste of college art classes. Instruction and feedback is provided by university lecturers in a supportive and inclusive environment. This month, Saturday Sessions are on Zoom. The Figure Drawing class runs from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 24 2022. This class focuses on drawing the human figure from a live, clothed model on Zoom. We'll be guided through the steps of crafting a figure, and work with both long and short poses. We'll challenge ourselves with prompts that encourage close looking like drawing with our opposite hands or with one continuous line. Basic supplies you will need include a sketchbook (suggested size 11' x 14"), pencil, and eraser. Vine charcoal is also strongly recommended for this class. The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants. Class will run with 1-6 students.
